Lol. Bass strings last a lot longer than guitar ones yeah?

I need to order my books soon. Classes start the 14th.
I forgot to sign up for anything other than Japanese tho, sooo....
I'll just use all that extra time for studying it and getting mega pro.

They're supposed to, though I'm sure with any strings, 5 years is the limit.

I remember buying these packs of Gibson strings from Walmart and the back of the package said that according to the hours I play, I'm supposed to change strings every other week. lol

lol, I'm also not even picky with brands of strings. I also change from light to extra light at random intervals. I did start buying Earnie Ball strings cuz they were reasonably priced at Best Buy.

My gripe with buying strings there is that they sell them behind the counter and rarely someone is there. One time I asked for medium gauge strings and they tried to tell me that gauge doesn't exist, despite me eyeballing the pack right next to him.

He did give me the Earnie Ball Beefy pack which is slightly better imo because the thin strings are medium, and the low strings are heavy, which worked for the tuning I keep that guitar in.

I hated having to ask for strings too, but that's just because talking.

I don't even remember what kind of strings I used.
For a while I used GHS David Gilmour blues.
And I had expensive Elixirs on my acoustic.

I used to buy D-addarios, but the multi-colored balls were kind of ugly looking on my bridge on my LP because you can see them when you look down. I also used to buy Fender Bullets. Instead of the metal ring/ball thingy, they had bullet shaped tips, but those stuck out of my LP bridge and looked retarded on it.

So I have all the Shin Chan movies in a Blue Ray box set. They made 1 mostly serious movie, I saw it and felt weird because it was serious, and really fucking good.

I applaud them.

Well pretty much all of the movies are action movies, typical bad guy trying to take over the world and someone is trying to stop him/her and Shin's family and sometimes friends get dragged into this.

This movie was about some Samurai noble during the warring states era trying to go through the struggle between his personal virtues and what he thinks is right vs the political situation he's in, with somehow Shin getting dragged into this.

Sounds weird.
Dunno if Shin-chan movies would be for me.
Don't think I could really enjoy it in more than 30 (24 w/e) doses.

Well the Japanese script is significantly less ridiculous than the English Dub, though Funimation had pretty much every line approved by the Japanese company.

If you look at the character profiles on Wikipedia of the main characters vs the Funimation dub, there are pretty big description changes.

Man. My Japanese books were 100 dollars.
I mean, financial aid paid for it all, but still.

Books are expensive.

Apparently Season 2 is the worst of the 3 released so far?
Maybe I can watch all of season 2 and 3 and get season 4 before it finished airing.

It's not terrible, but it's not as good as 1 and 3. You're gonna first get used to the new art style, and how creepy the background characters are, which you'll soon find out. Plus the opening theme got lots of complaints for being serious sounding and not fitting.

Season 2 is primarily original material and not based off the manga.

I doubt that kind of stuff will bother me.
I saw a few screenshots and from them I think i'll prefer this art style tbh.
The first screenshot in the preview screenshots section on bakabt where I downloaded it from is nude Kana at some hot spring or public bath or smth (blocked by some douche's arm, but it's ttly there).

I hope Kana gets better as a character. I hate disliking a main character in a show.

I didn't look at the screenshot too carefully.

I wish they stopped changing the artwork every season, though they've done it twice already, so I'm really not surprised by them changing it in Season 4 when I saw the OVA.

It's kind of like they mixed 1 and 3 together.

obviously haven't seen s3 so i wouldn't notice.

very cute, somewhat interesting, excited for episode 2

really? you think i watch a lot?... i'm used to being told i don't watch nearly enough. i used to have an upperclassman who could watch entire series in one day. he would watch through his classes and breaks and on the bus rides home.

wish i could contribute to the bass talk, but i'm all voice.

also, looks like there's a 3ds in my future.

I agree with you on the 3DS, I was kind of waiting for one, like a new Zelda, but Pokemon is just as good.

and how did i miss that amazing convo on shin chan? i've only seen funimation's version but did know about how they really took liberties with plot acn characters in the dub. still love it tho. the last season of it had me out of breath from laughing

someday i'll start over from the sub and continue on.
