Shin Chan's one of those shows where there aren't subs

lovely... i'm taking the wrong eastern language to be able to deal with that

There used to be English subs of some of the movies from the Mandarin dub and the Malay dub(lol) on Youtube.

I think I found the English subbed Spanish dub of the 3rd movie before, or maybe it was just the Spanish dub in general.

i just started learning this year. i'm doing great so far but tones are so hard to remember when speaking.

Yeah, those tonal languages are kind of tough, luckily there aren't tones to worry about when speaking Japanese.

Though for a foreign standpoint, the grammatical structure of Japanese would seem harder for someone like an English speaker. The fact that in some cases, the sentence structure is backwards, and the part where you can have a sentence with zero subject and have a sentence that makes sense, especially when talking about yourself.

Yeah man, those are pretty tough.
I took 3 years of Mandarin in High School.

I didn't know high schools taught Mandarin, I've mostly seen Spanish, German and/or French.

Mine did.
Pretty sure it was new, too.
I took it the first year they offered it.

It was fun.
I don't remember too much though, because it was mildly difficult and I ended up not liking the language very much.

No, I just didn't like it.
I think it was the tones.

All I can say in Mandarin is hallo. No idea how to spell it though so not even going to attempt.

I think I was done with the class by the time that show came out.

Well K-on is 4 panel, so I can see it being thin, not sure what style Oreimo is.

oreimo is just >normal manga.

well, i have the 2nd volume of oreimo preordered.
comes out on the 22nd.

i skimmed the first a bit (was looking for something in one scene) and from what little i glanced at, kyousuke looks... somewhat different, and it looks to be a lot more "risque" than the anime overall.

one of the parts i glanced at was that part where kyousuke wakes up with kirino on top of him, when she tells him to come to her room (so she can show him her whole eroge passion thing) >_>
