Emil Lager plays mostly melodic Country/Blues on a distorted Telecaster, and he plays in a wide range of open tunings as well. What I love most about Emil's music are his vocals.. so smooth. I also like that he doesn't just stick to one genre; Country/Blues, Alternative-Rock, and sometimes even back to some good old roots music playing finger-style on his Martin 00018. My favorite of his songs is by far "You Will Kill Me."
He started appearing on the radar after appearing on a radio show featuring one of his songs and an interview. I hope he continues to keep at it, because his music is great.
Emil now spends his time playing music and acting in London, so make sure you try and make it to a show. If you can't make it to London, maybe you can spot him acting as Django in Scorsese's Hugo which premiered in 2011.
