What is the best/worst conspiracy theory you've ever heard and the evidence for it or lack of evidence?

I think the worst one I've heard was that the earth is much smaller than we think. When you get on a plane to fly somewhere they take you for a joy ride to make the trip seem longer. If you want to, you can walk from across europe and asia in less than a day...

Evidence: none. The governments keep it to themselves.

According to the theory, it was either different people (they didn't have copyright laws then so there were multiple ripoffs of his plays) or it was the pseudonym of Queen Elizabeth.

I actually do have a Google+ account, I don't use it much since nobody uses it.

It only sucks for obscure shit. Though people need to give it a bit more credit though. I went and edited Ultramarine and made the plot MUCH more interesting. Twas epic, but 5 mins after I edited it they changed it back to what it was before. All my progress was lost.

I also have a google+ account. I'm thinking about closing my facebook account. Only reason why I still have it is to read other people's status updates.

OK, since this is the conspiracy thread I have another one. This one is from my side of the world:

AIDS was created an SA scientist Wouter Basson during the 70's to wipe out the black community and cause a total collapse of the lower working class during the Apartheid era. But it failed, because it spread to whites. They thought that whites would be immune if cross contamination would occur.
