Nirvana Fans?

Nirvana was an American rock band that was formed by singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Nirvana went through a succession of drummers, the longest-lasting being Dave Grohl, who joined the band in 1990.
In the late 1980s Nirvana established itself as part of the Seattle grunge scene, releasing its first album Bleach for the independent record label Sub Pop in 1989. The band eventually came to develop a sound that relied on dynamic contrasts, often between quiet verses and loud, heavy choruses. After signing to major label DGC Records, Nirvana found unexpected success with "Smells Like Teen Spirit", the first single from the band's second album Nevermind (1991). Nirvana's sudden success widely popularized alternative rock as a whole, and as the band's frontman Cobain found himself referred to in the media as the "spokesman of a generation", with Nirvana being considered the "flagship band" of Generation X.[1] Nirvana's third studio album In Utero (1993), challenged the group's audience, featuring an abrasive, less-mainstream sound.
Nirvana's brief run ended following the death of Kurt Cobain in 1994, but various posthumous releases have been issued since, overseen by Novoselic, Grohl, and Cobain's widow Courtney Love. Since its debut, the band has sold over 25 million records in the United States alone, and over 75 million records worldwide.[2][3]

So any nirvana fans here? I am a fan and my favorite song is Come As You Are followed by Rape Me.

I love Nirvana too, I say Dumb and Milk It are faves. I would also say Oh Me and Jesus Don't Want Me for a Sunbeam, but Nirvana didn't write those.

Nirvana are a great band but i think it's fair to say they are a lot more popular nowadays because of the story behind Kurt Cobain. I'm actually listening to "Nevermind" as i type this.

I've gotta say "Drain You" is my favourite Nirvana track, simply amazing.

Drain You is a great song, not a fan of the bridge with all the feedback and noise.

I love Nirvana. Even if I don't see them as the only ultimate grunge band or whatever, they were still pretty bitching.
My favorite track of theirs is Scentless Apprentice. What an incredible song. Whether you think Kurt was a good guitar player or not or if they started a movement or killed one etc., you can't deny that they could write some incredibly catchy music.

I liked the tone in In Utero and it made me listen to more of Steve Albini's work.

I won't lie, I think I prefer In Utero to Nevermind. Nevermind was great, but In Utero, for me, was just so much more full of emotion and raw passion.

I agree. I loved how abrasive the album was, but they made it abrasive in a good way.

In Utero is a great album but for me it doesn't come close to touching Nevermind. It's nearly a perfect album.

It's not as odd as Zoot saying that Bleach is their best.

Bleach is a good album though it doesn't touch Nevermind or In Utero. There really isn't a bad Nirvana album .

I think their best song is the MTV live performance of "Pennroyal Tea"

I never really liked Bleach that much. You should check out Incesticide, or however that's spelled.

Unplugged is a very good album though i probably over-listened to it when i was younger as the CD has hardly been out of it's box on the last few years.

Unplugged was great. I can't really rank Nirvana albums though, I don't know why
