Slipknot 1242032359_haters-gonna-hate

I saw them last night at Mayhem

I'm not quite at Maggot-levels of fandom, but I'm definitely a big fan after last night's all-out madness

I should get into them. I've seen some videos of Jim Root and he seems like a baller. I've always liked Corey Taylor's voice.

you should bro

and imo, they're so much better live than on CD

i mean i'll listen to the albums, but their live show is unparalleled by any other i've ever been to (barring Rush, of course)

I was kind of shied away from watching them since half of my high school were those typical maggots, though for retarded reasoning.

I lived in Nebraska at the time and they said I had to listen to Slipknot.... because they're from Iowa.

I can kinda understand where they were coming from. Like, all the famous bands are from LA, and Seattle, New York, etc. and then POPULAR METAL METAL BAND OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE from Iowa.

I can see your point, but to me it's still a different state. Their fanaticism with 311 was more understandable to me because they were homeboys from Omaha.

I only like their last album. I can think they will put up a proper live show, they look like the type of band that thrive on live shows.

sauce

I always thought it was funny how they write happy island music and they're from a giant cornfield in the middle of the US.

Weird. I always thought they had a more So-Cal vibe to them.
