I play alot of Bluegrass/Folk on my bass, Easy stuff and you can work fills into it.

Also Rockabilly and Punk is pretty easy.

I play finger style so a lot of the punk is a bit to fast for me at the moment, I first need to master the pick which i'm not very fond of.

Really, I thought the finger style was much harder than the pick. I play bass with a pick anyway. Smile

And Greenday, Nirvana and such are all easy to play on Bass. It is that easy it is boring. Razz

You sure you're listening to the right songs from those two? They have some pretty intermediate level songs

Brainstew - Greenday is the easiest song ever. That was the very first song I learned. Nirvana depresses me.

As a Green Day fan I get offended when people spell their name as one word.

If you think Nirvana is too depressing then you should stay away from Alice in Chains

These basslines are definitely tougher than Brain Stew

Sorry if my 1-wordedness offended you. Likely I only know of Alice in Chains, not familiar with their music.

I'm not sure what I said would come off as being offended

Fugazi.

Specifically "Waiting Room" and "Suggestion." Those are probably some of the best basslines I've ever heard, and they're both pretty simple.

Minutemen have a lot of great ones too.

There are some fun basslines in the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Like Soul to Squeeze.
