It's a vague genre, but Alternative is my fave

anime music, classical, instrumental and some rock, like Avril's skiter boy.

I also enjoy a bit of electronic/dubstep music too

I don't get the deal with dubstep. Though I don't know much about it

My favorite genre is rap & hip hop, but I will less to pretty much anything except metal.

depends on the specific subgenre of metal for me. Stuff with the deep growls and stuff give me headaches.

I like metal and most of its sub genres, except power metal. For some reason I can't stand it, that and gothic metal. That high sopranos sometimes work on my nerves, but I do have some exceptions. I like the growls and the screams, but not the guttural growling or the pig squeels, thats just not on for me.

I don't mind the cheesiness of power metal, it's for the lulz.

Nah, no thank you. Although my one fav local band calls themselved porncore, but its more for the joke and not very srs. That title is beyond gross...

I bet they do. I was so stoked last night when I found out that one of my fav local bands that broke up about 2 years ago is back on the scene as another band. They have a new lead singer with a very sexy voice, but the rest of the line-up is still the same. They changed they're feel a little as well. They are more post-hardcore now, sounding similar to bands like Saosin. I like finding new local bands.

They did, quite a lot. They look a lot chiller as well where previously they looked like they were trying too hard.

Isn't mainstream rock pop rock? True I forgot about the RnB and Hip Hop and I know there are more genres but since I'm not a big radio fan I can't be of much further help.

It depends on how hardcore you want to be.

Metal...metal...metal...lol any genre really, except I hate 'rock metal' like faggy bands such as KSE and five fingered handjob...fuck those dudes...

Grind is ok, gets boring too quick, I'm a fan of fast tech death, such as Black Dahlia Murder and of course some Carnifex

Good workout tunes though: Hatebreed and The Ghost Inside awesome hardcore bands
