Death Grips are by far one of the most unique groups I have heard in a VERY long time.
The best way I can describe them are... Barbaric, incomprehensible hip hop of pure terror on top of a barrage of noisy percussion and a swarm of extraterrestrial sirens.
Here, just listen yourself. Youtube the song "The Fever (Aye Aye)"
Their album The Money Store, released on Record Store Day (and officially yesterday) is being talked about left right and center. It's being called refreshing, intimidating, inventive and just plain addictive. Hell, L.A. Reid even signed them based on their mixtape and this album debut is off of his label (which I find incredibly bizarre but hey).
What do you think? Is it really that outstanding?
