What are everyone's favorite effects to use?

Digital delay and whammy are a blast. I also like the compressor sometimes

Cry Baby, Flanger, Chorus, and some Delay, and a phaser.

I've the flanger and phaser on my Digitech pedal, but I never found anything interesting to do with them besides using the WOOSH!!! sound.

I mainly use them when I play AVA songs, and on solos that use crazy effects or on my own songs.

Yeah, I only do it when I play Tom Morello songs, or the opening and solo to SP's Mayonaise song.

So today I was reading the new Musician's Friend catalog that came in my mail I noticed that the new Digitech RP500 comes with a free copy of Cubase. Those bastards.

And it's significantly better than my beloved RP250



Though Cubase is probably better than Reaper, but Reaper is still nicer than Acid Pro 7. Though I still use that and Soundforge 10

How long have you had it?

almost 4 years.

I don't really use alot of effects unless I am messing around.

I do however have BOSS Overdrive and BOSS Heavy Metal pedals when I use my Marshall amp as I like alot of distortion.

Chorus and digital delay are awesome

I like mixing those together on a clean channel, I can get that stereotypical dreamy psychedelic sound.

WAH pedals give awesome sounds as long as you use it as a filter and not a crutch for terrible solos...

Add a chorus to your phaser, sounds pretty crazy for slower melody's...the atmospheric sound is fun (at times)...
