Godspeed is one of my alltime favorite bands. It's rare for music, especially instrumental, to cater to every single mood you can experience. The exact same suites in a song somehow fit when I am happy, when I am sad, when I am angry, when I am scared. Because their music seems so post-apocalyptic, it truly gives you an insight of how you can view this kind of event in so many perspectives.
Sigur Ros is also pretty damn sweet. I love how they can be one of the heaviest bands I've ever hear but they rarely are. They just explode into that state when they want to.

I know man, since I'm so emotionally confused and unexpressive when I hear the old man at the start of Sleep on Lift Yr. Skinny Fists I don't know what to think- should I feel nostalgic? Happy?

Yeah, I definitely get the post apocalyptic feel on LYSFLATH, almost like Halo ODST, you know what I'm saying? The audio logs, and the still ringing phones, the ever repeating automated messages on an intercom, promises of salvation still reverberating, the pleading remnants of what was?

I don't know, but it gives me goosebumps at night.

I might write my EE on LYSFLATH.

(i hope you've played odst because if you haven't this won't make any sense)

Can I get an album recommendation for Sigur Ros?
